INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR STANLEY SQUARE AND THE CLASSROOMS IN SALE TOWN CENTRE

Corporate lifestyle photography alongside architectural imagery showcasing a placemaking project.

I was recently commissioned by award-wining architects SimpsonHaugh to capture interior and exterior photography of their work at Stanley Square in Sale (a location I have become very familiar with over the last few years - SEE PREVIOUS WORK). Their brief asked me to capture the newly finished exteriors, with specific focus on the architectural detail in the frontages and the signage across the site.

Stanley Square is a relatively new multi-use site located in the heart of Sale Town Centre, with an enviable mix of independent retailers and excellent bars and restaurants, which has been drawing locals and visitors in for a few years now. SimpsonHaugh asked me to embrace the footfall whilst capturing the exterior photography to demonstrate the vibrancy and show the interaction between the audience and the space.

The client also completed a sympathetic retrofit of the empty space above the busy retail units on the ground floor of Stanley Square to create The Classrooms – 14 stylish office suites and a flexible co-working space. Part of my brief was also to capture interior photography of these spaces, including both the offices and the shared workspaces.

The Classrooms is repurposed from the existing building and utilises existing but redundant units to reduce the impact on the environment and offer a more sustainable alternative to commercial clients looking for office space. Elements of the building's former existence remain in sight, including the restored brickwork, so I made sure this featured in the photography.
